Privacy Policy

The New Hardware ("we", "our", "the site") is an independent review publication operated by Hakan Esen. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — under the EU GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and Turkey's KVKK.

1. Data we collect

  • Analytics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Plausible) that collects no cookies and no cross-site identifiers. We see aggregated page-view counts, referrers, and approximate country.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address with our newsletter provider (Beehiiv) for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes.

2. What we do not collect

  • No advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.
  • No fingerprinting, session replay, or heatmaps.
  • No data sold to third parties — ever.

3. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of vendors. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

  • Vercel (hosting + edge logs)
  • Supabase (content database, hosted in the EU region we select)
  • Plausible (privacy-respecting analytics)
  • Beehiiv (newsletter delivery)
  • Affiliate networks (e.g. Amazon Associates) — only when you click an outbound product link.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR, CCPA, and KVKK you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@thenewhardware.com. We will respond within 30 days.

5. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site and via the newsletter. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
